Xiaomi’s High-Performance Electric Vehicle to Feature in Gran Turismo 7
Xiaomi and Polyphony Digital have announced a groundbreaking partnership during the first round of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025. The flagship model Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, a luxurious and powerful electric vehicle, will be integrated into the internationally acclaimed racing simulation Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This marks the first appearance of a Xiaomi vehicle in the series.
Gran Turismo is renowned for its authentic driving simulation that accurately reflects real-world vehicle parameters. The inclusion of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra highlights the increasing influence of intelligent high-performance electric vehicles in the automotive industry.
Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi met with Xiaomi Group’s founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun in Beijing in May 2025 to discuss the partnership. Yamauchi praised Xiaomi’s advancements in the automotive industry and the exceptional performance of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype on the Nürburgring.
Lei Jun expressed a deep connection with Yamauchi’s vision of using technology to create a better society, aligning with Xiaomi’s mission of providing affordable and innovative technologies globally. The collaboration aims to engage more Gran Turismo fans and car enthusiasts with the possibilities of intelligent high-performance electric vehicles like the SU7 Ultra.
Further development of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra involved rigorous testing at renowned racetracks like the Nürburgring Nordschleife to ensure high performance and safety standards. Technologies tested on the track are systematically adapted for production vehicles to enhance driving dynamics and component systems.
Gran Turismo 7 will incorporate the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra into the game in close collaboration with Xiaomi EV to accurately represent its design, driving characteristics, and technical specifications. The vehicle will be available in the game, with plans for a joint concept vehicle development between Xiaomi and Gran Turismo: Xiaomi VISION GRAN TURISMO.
