KTM AG Resumes Production on All Four Lines
Structured Restart Ensures Full Operation and Global Delivery Capability
Mattighofen (OTS) – KTM AG has recommenced production on all four production lines at its main facilities in Mattighofen and Munderfing. With thorough planning and preparation, approximately 1,000 production employees are returning to regular operations. This will enable the company to meet the high demand for motorcycles from the KTM, Husqvarna, and GASGAS brands worldwide.
„A special thanks to our employees, whose dedication, flexibility, and teamwork have been instrumental in making this restart possible. Their commitment during challenging times has been a key factor in the company’s progress,“ expressed KTM AG CEO Gottfried Neumeister, appreciative of the strong unity within the company. „The production restart provides the stability needed for us to focus entirely on quality, customer relations, and further advancement.“
All production areas will operate on day shifts with a five-day work week at full capacity. The current work agreement for employees and workers is set to end as scheduled by the end of July. Production will run continuously from July 28 to the regular Christmas break, with no planned summer break. The supply chains have been fully restored to ensure reliable global supply and delivery.
The production focus will be on the established OFFROAD range – MX and Enduro Competition – featuring new models. Simultaneously, the production of the entirely new LC4 platform will commence, including popular KTM models such as the 690 ENDURO R and 690 SMC R, along with Husqvarna’s 701 Enduro and 701 Supermoto. The Mattighofen and Munderfing facilities will cater to the global market. „The restart is a significant milestone – both operationally and emotionally. Our teams have achieved remarkable results in recent months. It is encouraging that we can now resume production at full capacity with a highly motivated team and a clear commitment to high quality,“ stated Jakob Kohlmayer, Senior Vice President Production.
Close collaboration with the international dealer network remains pivotal to the company’s strategy. The establishment of the new Dealer Excellence Center by KTM aims to provide structured support to its global sales partners and further enhance customer satisfaction.
In addition to operations, KTM is also intensifying its recruitment efforts. Vacancies exist in various departments such as IT, finance, and marketing, particularly in Mattighofen and Munderfing. KTM offers applicants an international work environment and assistance with relocation and integration into the community.
